Dr Christopher Kolade Celebrates his 90th Birthday

The Nigeria Leadership Initiative (NLI) wishes our Founding Patron, the Epitome of Integrity, Dr Christopher Kolade CON a Happy 90th Birthday!!!

It has been a privilege and an honour to have you not only as the Founding Patron, Board Chairman but also as a Senior Fellow of NLI.

You are a rare gem. On behalf of NLI and its Senior Fellows, Fellows and Associates in Nigeria and the Diaspora

The Founder

The NLI is an international, non-partisan organisation that is registered as a Charity in Nigeria and in the United Kingdom. The organisation was founded by Olusegun Aganga (CON) and Dr Christopher Kolade (CON) who was the former Nigerian Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

Leadership Institute

The Institute is designed to be a one stop international and credible centre of excellence where values-based African leaders, for today and tomorrow, will be moulded and empowered. The learning experience will be based on specialised leadership trainings and courses modelled on the Yale University and Aspen Institute standards.

Merit should determine government appointments

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has said for the country to attain economic growth and development, the dominant principle when appointing people into public offices should be merit rather than federal character. He stated this amid grievances in some quarters over the lopsided appointment of persons into national offices by the current regime led by the President, Muhammadu Buhari (rtd).

NLI Fellows

The NLI provides a platform for highly accomplished leaders (Fellows) and emerging leaders (Associates) to develop an understanding and appreciation of the roots of their values, the importance of values-based leadership in the transformation of countries and societies, and the need to promote this style of leadership as a major prerequisite for sustainable development and transformation.
